Living by faith – gospel faith – is what enables us to endure and persevere through tough times. While so much of life as we knew it has been greatly altered and restricted, access to our God has not. We can enter His presence because of Jesus (Heb. 10:19). That’s why we can “hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful” (Heb. 10:23). While tempted to “waver” and “shrink back”, to withdraw into our shell, or to throw in the towel, Jesus is faithfully preserving us. He’s holding onto us even when we think that we’re only holding onto him… and His grip is so much stronger than ours!
